We study marine biodiversity and its role in the functioning of different coastal habitats (sandy beaches, tidal flats, rocky intertidal and macroalgal bed communities, seagrass meadows and estuaries). We study benthic communities, species interactions, food webs, human disturbances, invasive species and spatiotemporal scales. Yes, we do have a soft spot for macrofauna but we accept any marine organism with an interest for coastal ecology research.
